Michael has been fighting his entire life. He started
out street fighting in the border town of El Paso, Texas.
After an extremely long "career" as a street fighter,
Michael joined the Army's elite 82nd Airborne where
he served his country proudly as an infantry soldier
in the first Gulf War. After returning from the war,
he still had plenty of fighting left in him, so he joined
his brigade's boxing team and won two brigade titles
and an 82nd Airborne division title. After the Army,
Michael began teaching tennis in Scottsdale (Michael
was a nationally ranked junior as a kid) as he pursued
his dream of boxing in the professional ranks. Michael's
dreams of pro boxing never came true, but not because
of something gone wrong but because of a new and bigger
calling, something called No Holds Barred. America was
introduced to N.H.B in 1994 and immediately Michael
and his brothers knew this was for them. The three brothers
started developing Buell Fighting Systems, which led
Michael to his dreams of fighting in the professional
ranks.
